Windows 10

Windows 10 supports PPTP , L2TP/IPsec , SSTP , and IKEv2 connections with none third-party software.

To connect to a VPN on Windows 10, head to the Settings ==> Network & Internet ==> VPN. Click the “Add a VPN connection” button to line up a replacement VPN connection in computer.

Provide the connection details for your VPN. you'll enter any name you wish under “Connection Name”. This name is simply used on your computer to assist you identify the VPN connection.

Your VPN provider should be ready to provide you with these details. If the VPN is provided by your employer, your employer’s IT department should provide you with the small print you’ll got to connect.

Once you’ve found out a VPN, you’ll see it within the network popup menu next to any nearby Wi-Fi networks.

Click the network name within the popup menu and Windows will open the Settings then click Network & Internet after click VPN window for you. Select the VPN and click on “Connect” to attach thereto . you'll also configure or remove VPN connections from here.


Windows 7 and 8

To connect to a VPN on Windows 7. Press the Windows key =>  type VPN => press Enter. (Note: If you’re using Windows 8, the method are going to be very similar, but a number of the windows may look a touch different.)

Enter the address of your VPN provider within the Internet Address box. you will be have to enter an address like vpn.example.com or a numerical IP address , counting on the server information your VPN provider gave you.

Enter your login credentials on subsequent screen. Use the username and password of your VPN provider gave you.

Windows will be connect you to a VPN you configured . If you checked the “Don’t connect now” checkbox on the primary screen, Windows will save the VPN connection so you'll easily connect later.

Once connected, you'll click the network icon in your system tray to look at your VPN connections. While connected to a VPN, all of your network traffic are going to be sent over it.

To disconnect from a VPN. click it and click on “Disconnect”. you'll then reconnect thereto later by clicking it and selecting Connect. you'll have multiple VPNs configured and switch between them during this way.

To delete a saved VPN connection on your window , press the Windows key and type “Network Connections” => press Enter => Right-click a VPN connection => use the Delete option.
